Can Money Buy Happiness?

They say that money can’t buy happiness. Even if that’s true, it won’t stop us from trying. However if you’re going to spend your money in hopes of gaining a measure of happiness, it seems that there are ways to hedge your bets.

I just came across a Think Christian article saying that it seems that money spent on experiences yields more happiness than money spent on goods. So if you’re looking for the maximum bang for the buck on your happiness expenditure, maybe pass on a material item and attend an event or plan a getaway. You don’t need to spend a lot of money, either. $5 spent over coffee that results in good conversation can yield more happiness than something costing much, much more.

If you’re looking for an event that will help you to bridge the gap between your daily work and spiritual walk and could inform how you’ll spend much of your life please consider joining us for our City Gates Conference in Detroit on September 12, 2015. Or if you’re in the Columbus area and want to go deeper into what it looks like to carry your faith into your work, consider joining our Columbus Cohort.
